Wrong-Way Motorist Killed in Houston Crash on Interstate 45 near North Main Street

Houston, Texas (November 19, 2022) – A wrong-way driver was killed Saturday morning in a traffic collision on the North Freeway in Houston, according to police.

The deadly crash occurred shortly after 6:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Interstate 45 near North Main Street.

Police said a Honda Civic was traveling in the wrong direction on Interstate 45 when it collided with an SUV.

The driver of the Honda was pronounced dead at the scene.

No other details regarding the crash were immediately available.

The crash remains under investigation.
