Zachary Wilkinson ID’d as Man Killed in Goliad Crash on U.S. 183 North

Goliad, Texas (January 24, 2023) – The man who died Monday morning in a traffic accident outside Goliad has been identified as Zachary Alan Wilkinson of Victoria.

The crash happened at around 11:24 a.m. Monday, January 23 on U.S. 183 North, five miles north of Goliad.

Authorities said Wilkinson was driving a United Parcel Service 2019 Freightliner box truck when he struck the rear of a tractor trailer driven by Tedderrin Dontrell Powell, of Houston,

Wilkinson was declared dead at the scene at 11:35 a.m.

Powell was not injured.

Further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.

The crash remains under investigation.
