Authorities Identified Zakodi White as Child Who Died after being Struck by Vehicle on Saturday Evening on 50th Street between Avenue S and Avenue T in Lubbock

Lubbock, Texas (May 23, 2022) – Authorities have identified the child who died after being struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in Lubbock as Zakodi White, 14.

The fatal pedestrian accident happened at around 5:00 p.m. on May 21, in the 1900 block of 50th Street, between Avenue S and Avenue T.

Authorities said White was crossing 50th Street between Avenue S and Avenue T when he was hit by a passenger vehicle that was traveling northbound.

White was transported to UMC, where he later died from his injuries.

No further information was available.

An investigation is underway.
