Zane Whitesides Killed in Colorado City Helicopter Crash

Colorado City, Texas (December 12, 2020) – According to authorities, two men were killed on Thursday after a helicopter crashed in a field about eight miles (13 kilometers) southwest of Colorado City.

The deadly crash happened on December 10.

Authorities said a Robinson R44 helicopter was headed to a ranch to help them move cattle when it crashed in a field.

The pilot, Zane Whitesides, 31, and the passenger, Zack Pfeuffer, 32, both from Colorado City, were killed in the crash.

The FAA and the NTSB are investigating the crash.
