Zatryx Boggus Killed in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-27 in North Lubbock
Zatryx Boggus Killed, Carolyne Travis Seriously Injured in Lubbock Two-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 27
Lubbock, Texas (December 17, 2019) – One person was killed and another was seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon in North Lubbock, according to the police.
The fatal crash was reported around 5:05 p.m. December 16, in the 3700 block of North I-27, near Lubbock Industrial Park Boulevard.
Police said a Porsche Boxster was traveling southbound in the center lane of the interstate while a Buick Park Avenue was traveling southbound in the right lane.
The Porsche driver, 24-year-old Evan Flacy, lost control and struck the Buick. The impact caused both vehicles to leave the roadway southwest across the grass ditch where the Buick hit a tree.
The Buick driver, 81-year-old Carolyne Travis, was taken to UMC with serious injuries.
Flacy was uninjured in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation.
