Two Injured in Lynn County Four-Vehicle Crash on Highway 87

Lynn County, Texas (November 25, 2019) – Two people were injured on Sunday night in a multi-vehicle crash at the Lynn County line, according to a local news release.

The crash took place around 7:30 p.m. on November 24, on Highway 87.

DPS said a Nissan and a Dodge were heading northbound when the Dodge came up on the rear of the Nissan and struck it. The impact sent both vehicles into the median and into the southbound lanes.

A Volkswagen and a Jeep swerved to avoid the vehicles which crossed into their lane. The Volkswagen then hit the Jeep.

Two people in the Nissan were taken to the hospital for treatment. One of the victims was airlifted with serious injuries.

The crash closed both lanes of the highway for about two hours.

An investigation is underway.
