Girl Injured in Hewitt Pedestrian Crash on FM 2837

Hewitt, Texas (August 31, 2019) – A young girl was hit and injured by a van on Friday afternoon near Hewitt, according to DPS.

The incident took place at around 4:40 p.m. August 30, on FM 2837 near FM 2113.

DPS said a 9-year-old girl was trying to cross the street when a northbound van struck her.

The girl was transported to Baylor Scott & White in Waco with minor injuries.

The driver of the involved vehicle was not hurt.

The accident is under investigation.
