DPS officials say the deadly accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. on August 24 on westbound Highway 103 east of Lufkin.

Angelina County, TX – One person was killed and two others were hurt following a three-vehicle collision in Angelina County Saturday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
DPS officials say the deadly accident happened at about 9:45 p.m. on August 24 on westbound Highway 103 east of Lufkin.
As per the DPS, a Honda Civic was traveling east on Highway 103 when, for some reason, it crossed over into the westbound lane and collided with an oncoming Chevrolet Wrecker and then a Toyota Highlander.

The driver of the Honda sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, DPS said. The driver of the Toyota was transported to a hospital in Lufkin with non-life-threatening injuries while the driver of the Chevrolet was treated at the scene by EMS.
The incident remains under investigation.
