Livingston, TX – One person is dead and two others were injured after two vehicles collided head-on in Livingston Thursday night, according to Texas DPS.
The deadly head-on collision happened at about 8:51 p.m. on Thursday, October 3 on Highway 190, about 4 miles east of Livingston, according to DPS.
Initial investigation revealed that a 2016 Ford Explorer, operated by Tomoma McGowen, 57, of Livingston, was traveling eastbound on 190 when it entered the westbound lane and collided with a Nissan, driven by Maria Fernandez, 74, of Lufkin, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

BothMcGowen and a passenger in the Nissan, Ana Salaiz, 68, of Diboll, were transported by medical helicopter to a hospital in Houston, authorities said.
DPS said Maria Fernandez succumbed to her injuries just after being loaded into the ambulance.
The incident remains under investigation.
