Temple, TX – A 2-year-old child, who is among four people injured in a T-bone collision in Temple late last month, has died.
The accident happened in the 7500 block of North Highway 317 at about 8:15 p.m. on September 30, 2024.
Authorities say the incident began when an individual was assaulted in the 9300 block of South Highway 317. The assault victim was able to escape and was chased by the suspect, as Joshua Rios, 25, of Moody, prior to a three-car collision in the 7500 block of North Highway 317.
Four people, including the 2-year-old boy, were injured in the collision. Temple PD said the boy succumbed to the injuries sustained in the accident on October 3. A GoFundMe page has been created for funeral expenses for the deceased child.
Rios currently has a warrant out fir his aresst.

Temple, TX – Four people were injured when a car chase ended in a two-vehicle traffic collision in Temple Monday night, according to Temple PD.
According to the police, at around 8:15 p.m. on September 30, someone was assaulted in the 9300 block of South Highway 317 and one of the people involved chased the other down North Highway 317.
Police say at some point, one of the vehicles t-boned another vehicle in the 7500 block of North Highway 317.
Authorities said four people were seriously injured in the collision, with one of the patients sustaining life-threatening injuries.
According to Temble PD, the roadway remained closed throughout Tuesday morning as investigators worked at the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
