Austin, TX – One person was hospitalized in critical condition following a multi-traffic collision at an intersection in Austin on Thursday night, according to Austin-Travis County EMS (ATCEMS).
The accident occurred at around 8:02 p.m. at the intersection of Collinwood West Drive and Dessau Road.
Austin Fire Department responded to the scene and found one person trapped inside their vehicle after multiple vehicles collided.
The firefighters extricated the trapped person from the vehicle.
ATCEMS medics declared the adult patient a trauma alert and transported them to Dell Seton Medical Center with critical, life-threatening injuries.

No other injuries were reported. The cause of the accident was not immediately established.
