Burleson County, TX – The Texas Department of Public Safety has identified the passenger who died after the vehickle she was traveling in was hit by another vehicle on Highway 36 as Asia Debrow, 28, of Brenham.
Five other people, including two young boys, were injured in the incident.
Debrow was a passenger in a Kia Optima that was hit by a 2025 Honda Civic on TX-36 about a mile north of Lyons.

Burleson County, TX – One person was killed and five others, including two kids, were injured following a two-vehicle wreck on Highway 36 in Burleson County Monday night, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The deadly collision happened around 9 p.m. on December 2 on Highway 36 at Lyons.
According to Texas DPS, a 2025 Honda Civic was heading northbound on SH-36 when it crossed the center line in a marked No-Passing zone and hit a Kia Optima about one mile north of Lyons.
A passenger in the Kia was pronounced dead at the scene. Another passenger was flown to Baylor Scott & White-Temple Hospital with seriousl injuries. Two children, boys aged 8 and 5 years, also passengers in the Kia were transported to McLane Children’s Hospital with serious injuries.
Both drivers were tramsported to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan.
No additional information was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
