The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 at Bowman Springs Road.

Arlington, TX – One person was injured in a two-vehicle traffic collision that closed the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 in Arlington Wednesday morning, according to the Texas Department of Transportation.

The accident happened shortly after 6 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 at Bowman Springs Road.

Troopers said a a Hyundai Sonata struck the rear of a Ford Escape.

The driver of the Ford Escape was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information is regarding the accident is available at this time.

The driver of the Hyundai was issued  a citation follwing the incident, Arlington Police said.

The incident remains under investigation.
