Lubbock, TX – A motorcyclist, identified as 22-year-old Jed Hernandez, was seriously injured in a two-vehicle collision at an intersection in Lubbock Wednesday evening, Lubbock Police Department  said in a statement.

LPD said the collision happened in the area of at 4th Street and Milwaukee Avenue at aboout 6:45 p.m. on December 4.

Investigators say it appears Hernandez was riding a motorcyle northbound in the 400 block of Milwaukee Avenue when a vehicle, driven by 22-year-old Mary Hirst, turned south onto the 400 block of Milwaukee Avenue and collided with the Hernandez’s motorcycle.

Hernandez suffered serious injuries and was transported to the University Medical Center by EMS.

No additional information was provided.
