Lubbock, TX – The Lubbock Police Department is investigating a two-vehicle collision that left a rider identified as David Gomez, 22, with serious injuries in Central Lubbock Sunday evening.
The major motorcycle versus car collision happened at around 6:06 p.m. on December 15 in the 5300 block of 50th Street.
According to LPD’s Major Crash Unit, Gomez was riding a motorcycle eastbound on 50th Street when he collided with a passenger car operated by 69-year-old Donna Loyd. Police said Lyod was turning west out of a parking lot when the collision occurred.
Gomez sustained serious injuries and was transported to University Medical Center.
No additional information was provided.
The accident remains under investigation.
