Reeves County, TX – One worker was killed while two others were injured in an accident that happened at a well site in Reeves County on Monday night, according to the Reeves County Sheriff’s Office.
The incident took place at the Permian Resources-Guthrie State D 132H nearly eight miles south of Highway 285 at about 9:00 p.m. on January 27.
According to the report, crews from Propetro Services were doing fracking operations when a pressurized device at the frac site raptured.
One of the workers, identified as Edward Rodriguez, 45, died in the accident.
Another worker, Ricardo Zamora, 35, had an arm injury and was transported to a local hospital and then airlifted to Medical Center Hospital in Odessa.
The supervisor of the site, Johnny Sanchez, 36, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Reeves Regional Hospital in Pecos.
Authorities reported that the deadly incident is believed to be accidental.
The investigation is ongoing.
