Matthew Castaneda Killed in Martin County Accident on SH 349 at CR D2051

Martin County, TX. – A 43-year-old Seminole man was killed in a car accident on Monday in Martin County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the accident happened on SH 349 at CR D2051.

Matthew Castaneda was driving a car northbound on the inside lane of SH 349 when he crashed into the rear of a vehicle operated by 64-year-old Reyna Gonzalo of Slaton.

Castaneda was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is underway.
