Lamb County, TX – The Texas DPS has identified a West Texas man who was killed after his vehicle collided with another on US-70 in Lamb County early Saturday morning.
DPS said David Diaz Jimenez, 67, of Hart was driving a 2002 Ford Ranger westbound on U.S. Highway 70 when, for some reason, the Ford veered into the eastbound lane and collided with a a 2006 Toyota Sienna operated by a 15-year-old boy from Earth, TX.

David Jimenez was transported to Universtity Medical Center (UMC) where he died. The teen was also taken to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries. The teen’s 20-year-old passenger was not injured.
The incident remains under investigation.

Lamb County, TX – A man was killed and a teen was injured following a head-on collision in Lamb County early Saturday morning.
The deadly collision occurred around 4:45 a.m. on February 15 on US 70, just east of CR 291.
According to the police, a pickup truck traveling westbound on US 70 when, for some reason, it veered into the eastbound lane and collided with a minivan operated by a 15-year-old boy.
The driver of the pickup truck was transported to UMC in Lubbock where he later died.
The 15-year-old male was also taken to UMC with non-life-threatening injuries. A 20-year-old passenger was not hurt.
No additional information was provided.
The crash remains under investigation.
