Jim Wells County, TX – One person was killed in a two-vehicle collision in Jim Wells County on Friday afternoon, according to the authorities.
The incident happened on Highway 44 shortly before 4 p.m. on March 7.
A 57-year-old driver failed to yield at a crossover and collided with another vehicle in the area.
The driver who failed to yield was rescued by first responders.
A passenger in the vehicle was killed in the accident. The victim was identified as Andriana Garza, 52.
The other driver was airlifted with critical injuries.
The cause of the accident is under investigation.
