Spring, TX – Three people were killed in an accident that took place in Spring on Monday morning, according to the authorities.
The incident took place on Interstate 45 near the Rayford/Sawdust exit.
Authorities said a van with seven people inside was disabled due to a flat tire in one of the moving lanes of traffic lanes.
A pickup truck reportedly slammed into the disabled van killing three people inside the van – one woman and two men.
Five other people, including a minor, were taken to a hospital for treatment.
All southbound lanes of I-45 were shut down following the accident.
