The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police

McKinney, TX. – One person was killed in a collision that happened on Friday morning in McKinney.
According to the police, the accident happened at South McDonald Street and Spur 399 at around 7:43 a.m.
A vehicle was traveling northbound on Spur 399 when it reportedly ran a red light and collided with a vehicle traveling south on McDonald Street.
The driver of the southbound vehicle was taken to a local hospital, where he later died while receiving treatment.
The driver of the second vehicle stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
