Austin, TX – A girl who died days after being involved in a collision with a police vehicle in Austin on March 10 has been identified.
According to the authorities, the collision took place in the 8900 block of North Lamar Boulevard at about 9:58 p.m.
An Austin Police Department vehicle had its lights and sirens on while responding to a call when it collided with a civilian vehicle that pulled into its path.
A girl in the civilian vehicle, identified as Gracy Gomez Andres, 4, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased four days later.
The driver of the civilian vehicle was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.
The officer involved was transported with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
A third vehicle was also involved in the accident but its two occupants were not hurt.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
