Armstrong was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected upon impact

Amarillo, TX. – 46-year-old Jason Armstrong was killed in a collision on Thursday afternoon in Amarillo.
The fatal collision happened around 4 p.m. on Bell Street near Canyon Drive and Scotty Drive, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Armstrong was operating a 2020 Volkswagen Tiguan and was turning north onto Bell from a private driveway when he collided with a southbound 2016 Dodge Charger driven by a 17-year-old man.
Armstrong was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected upon impact.
The man was taken to an Amarillo hospital where he died from his injuries.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
