Troy, TX – Two people were killed in an accident that occurred in Troy on Saturday morning, according to the Troy Police Department.
The incident took place on North I-35 at about 8:15 a.m. on April 19.
According to the report, a Kia Optima traveling in the main lanes drifted into the improved shoulder of the interstate and slammed into a stopped Dodge Ram Pickup.
Two adults were standing at the back of the parked vehicle trying to change a tire and were hit when the Dodge was struck.
The two, identified as Maria Maquin,34, and Hector Bococ, 35, of Cedar Park, were killed in the accident.
A juvenile who was standing in the grass median was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The accident is under investigation.
