Lubbock, TX. – Two people were hospitalized after being injured in a collision on Friday morning near Shallowater.

According to the police, the accident happened around 8 a.m. on County Road 5400 and North County Road 1900.

A Jeep Grand Cherokee and an F-150 were involved in the collision.

The driver of the F-150 was trapped and had to be extricated. He was transported to the hospital with moderate, but non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Grand Cherokee sustained minor injuries. Their juvenile passenger was unhurt.

More details about the accident were not released.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
