Orange County, TX – One person was killed in a collision that took place in Orange County on Thursday morning, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The incident took place on FM 1006 near East Roundbunch Road at about 6:30 a.m.

According to the report, a dark-colored pickup was traveling west on FM 1006 when it slammed into the rear of a westbound 2019 Ford passenger car.

The car was sent into the eastbound side and it collided with an oncoming 2025 Chevrolet SUV.

The dark-colored pickup then struck the Ford again and caused it to collide with an eastbound 2015 Dodge passenger car.

The driver of the Ford was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the pickup fled the scene after the collision.

The other two motorists were transported to a Southeast Texas hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
