The deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on May 2 in the 700 block of East Stacy Road.
Allen, TX – The Allen Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian crash that happened on East Stacy Road in Allen Friday night.
The deadly auto-pedestrian accident happened at about 9:30 p.m. on May 2 in the 700 block of East Stacy Road.
Police said a man, identified as Kenneth Jackson, 40, of Melissa, was leaving a business and walking southbound along Stacy Road.
Reportedly, Jackson went into the westbound lanes while crossing the street and continued through the center median, and stepped into the eastbound lanes of traffic where he was struck by a dark-colored SUV.
The driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
Allen Police officers responded to the scene and began life-saving measures. Fairview Fire Department personnel also responded to the scene and transported Jackson to Medical City McKinney, where he was pronounced dead.
The accident remains under investigation.
