El Paso, TX – A student was killed Tuesday afternoon in a pedestrian accident in El Paso, according to officials.
The deadly accident happened on September 23 on US-54 at Fred Wilson.
Police said Joseph Nathaniel Caraballo, 14, ran across the northbound lanes, crossed the median, and then ran along the southbound lanes when he was struck by an SUV.
The SUV driver tried to avoid hitting Caraballo, but unfortunately, they could not.
Caraballo was taken to the hospital, where he later died.

The police are investigating the accident.
