Georgetown, TX – One person was killed and two others were injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Georgetown Thursday afternoon, according to the Georgetown Police Department.

The deadly accident happened at about 1:43 p.m. at the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and  Rockride Lane.

Two People Hospitalized in Fatal Georgetown Two-Vehicle Accident

According to GPD, two vehicles collided and one of the drivers sustained fatal injuries in the incident.

Two people in the second vehicle were injured in the incident and were transported to Ascension Seton.

The names of the victims were not immediately released.

Authorities said a utility pole was knocked down in the incident causing a power outage in some parts of Saddle Creek subdivision.

An investigation to determine the cause of the collision is underway.
