Austin, TX – Several people, including three children, were injured following a two-vehicle traffic collision at an intersection in Austin on Sunday night, according to a social media post by the ATCEMS.

The accident happened at about 7:58 p.m. at the intersection of FM Road 969 and FM 973 on Sunday, December 22.

According to the reports ATCEMS medics and Austin Fire Crews responded to the scene and located two vehicles involved in a collision and a total of 9 patients.

The medics transported eight patients to hospitals. Two adults and three children were transported to Dell Children’s Medical Center. There other adults were transported to Dell Seton Medical Center. The ninth patient, an adult, did not require EMS transport. The EMS medics declared the three children as trauma alerts, adding that all patients had non-life-threatening injuries.

No additional information was provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
