Arnold Ray Dies in Two-Vehicle Crash in Ward County

Ward County, TX – The authorities have identified the man who was killed in a two-vehicle traffic collision on Interstate Business 20 in Ward County Friday morning as 48-year-old Arnold Freddie Ray from Murchison.

According to an official report, the deadly accident happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Friday, August 2, on eastbound Interstate Business 20 near mile marker 228.

Initial investigation revealed that Arnold Ray was traveling westbound on Business 20 when he failed to stay in the single lane, traveled into the eastbound lane, and crashed into a vehicle operated by a 59-year-old driver from Pecos. The Pecos driver was traveling eastbound on Interstate Business 20 when the crash happened.

Arnold Ray was pronounced dead at the scene. The second driver was taken to Reeves County Hospital with minor injuries.

No additional information regarding the incident is available at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
