Victoria, TX – The pilot and five other people who were involved in incident in which a plance crashed and struck three vehicles at an intersection in Victoria have been identified.
The Texas Departmnet of Public Safety identified the victims as:
- The pilot – 66 year-old Paul Ferroni.
- The driver of a Red Kia Sorento – 68-year-old Jo Waitschies Brewer
- The driver of a black Toyota Camry – 26 year-old Clarissa Garcia
- According to DPS, a 14 year-old girl was a passenger in the Toyota Camry.

The Federal Aviation Administration said in a statement that the Victoria plane crash happened after the aircraft ran out of fuel. FAA said the twin-engine Piper PA-31 made an emergency landing on the feeder road of NE Zac Lentz Parkway, the aircraft struck a light pole and three vehicles at Mockingbird Lane and NE Zac Lentz Parkway intersection at around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2024.
Victoria, TX – Four people were injured in a plane crash involving cars at an intersection in Victoria on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Victoria Police Department.
The incident was reported at around 3 p.m. December 11, on Zac Lentz Parkway and Mockingbird Lane.
According to police, a twin-engine Piper Navajo crashed into the intersection and hit three cars, before spitting in half.
The plane had reportedly departed from the Victoria Regional Airport at 9:52 and had been in the air for almost five hours before crashing. The pilot was the only one on board.
Police said four people were injured. One of the patients had serious injuries while the other three suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Authorities are working to determine the cause of the incident.
