Bicyclist Struck, Killed by Car at Cumberland Road and Old Jacksonville Highway in South Tyler

One Killed in South Tyler Bicycle Accident at Cumberland Road and Old Jacksonville Highway

Tyler, Texas (April 30, 2020) – According to police, a bicyclist was fatally hit by a car Thursday afternoon at an intersection in South Tyler.

The crash happened around 3:00 p.m. at the intersection of Old Jacksonville Highway and Cumberland Road.

Police said the bicyclist was struck by a car at the intersection.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.

No other information was immediately available.

An investigation is underway.
