Calbert Waller Identified as Man Killed in Katy Plane Crash on Westerpine Lane

Katy, Texas (February 2, 2019) – The man who was killed in a fatal plane crash near Katy on Thursday afternoon has been identified as Calbert James Waller, 69.
According to the DPS, the crash was reported at about 4:15 p.m. January 31, in the  22000 block of Westerpine Lane.
DPS said the single-engine Mooney M20 crashed nose first into a wooded area.
Waller was the pilot and is believed to have been the only occupant of the plane.
Waller died in the crash.
The authorities are working to determine the cause of the wreck.
