Christopher Lloyd Rhodes ID’d as Man Killed in Kountze Train-Pedestrian Accident near Highway 69

Kountze, Texas (November 11, 2019) – The man who was killed after being hit by a train Saturday night in Kountze has been identified as Christopher Lloyd Rhodes, 36, of Kountze, according to the authorities.

The accident took place around 9:00 p.m. on November 9, on the railroad tracks near highway 69.

According to witnesses, Rhodes was riding his bike on the railroad tracks when he was hit by a BNSS train.

Rhodes was pinned under the train until first responders arrived and pulled him out. He was taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he died Sunday morning.

The Kountze Police and Kountze Fire Department are conducting the investigation.
