David Decker, Shawn Whited, Daniel Grayson, Lilah Blake ID’d as Four Injured in Wichita Falls Crash at Highway 79 and Rathgeber Road
Wichita Falls, Texas (March 29, 2019) – The four people who were injured last month in a multi-vehicle crash at a Wichita Falls intersection have been identified as David Decker, 78, Shawn Whited, 37, Daniel Grayson,8,  and Lilah Blake,4, authorities said.
The crash happened just after 4:00 p.m. February 27, at the intersection of Highway 79 and Rathgeber Road.
Authorities said Decker was driving northbound on Highway 79 when he slowed down to turn left, and his car was rear-ended by Whited’s GMC Yukon. The impact pushed Decker’s vehicle into oncoming traffic. A Dodge Challenger swerved to avoid Decker’s car and crashed into a nearby cemetery fence.
Decker and Whited were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Grayson and Blake, who were passengers in the Challenger, were transported to the hospital as a precaution.
An investigation is ongoing.
