Man Injured in Houston Train Accident on Jacinto Port near Talcott

Houston, Texas (December 18, 2019) – A man was injured in a fiery train accident Tuesday night in Houston near Channelview, according to the deputies.

The crash occurred on Tuesday, December 17, on the tracks along Jacinto Port near Talcott.

Deputies said an SUV driver failed to yield and was hit by a train on the tracks.

The impact caused the SUV to catch fire. The driver was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.

The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

Impairment was not a factor in the crash.

An investigation is ongoing.
