Haskel Rouse Dies in Mathis Motorcycle Crash on I-37 at FM 888

Mathis, Texas (March 27, 2019) – A man was killed in a deadly collision between a motorcycle and a big rig in Mathis on Monday night, according to the DPS.
The crash occurred shortly after 8 p.m. March 25 on I-37 at FM 888.
DPS said a Cub Cadet Truck tractor semi-trailer was traveling northbound on the I-37 frontage road when it was rear-ended by an eastbound motorcycle driven by Haskel Wayne Rouse, 49, of Mathis.
Rouse sustained major injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The truck driver was not hurt.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
