Rosa Maria Gutierrez Injured in 3-Vehicle Accident on U.S. 59 near FM 444 in Victoria

Rosa Maria Gutierrez Hospitalized after Victoria Car Crash on U.S. 59 near FM 444

Victoria, Texas (August 7, 2019) – A Houston woman was injured in a three-vehicle collision on Tuesday evening in Victoria County, according to the authorities.

The incident was reported at around 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, on U.S. 59 near FM 444.

Authorities said Santiago Gutierrez, 69, was driving a GMC Sierra northbound on U.S. 59 when he slowed down to avoid a Honda Sonata that was pulling into the highway from a rest stop.

The GMC was then rear-ended by a truck-tractor towing a semi-trailer.

A passenger in the GMC, Rosa Maria Gutierrez, 69, of Houston, sustained minor injuries and was transported to Citizens Medical Center for treatment.

The driver of the Honda, Michele Wagner, 64, of Inez, was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way.

The driver of the big rig, Kendall Williams, 33, of South Carolina, was cited for failure to control speed.
