Woman Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on Interstate 20 in Arlington

Woman Killed in Arlington Pedestrian Accident on Interstate 20 near U.S. 287

Arlington, Texas (August 8, 2022) – A female pedestrian died after she was struck Sunday morning by a hit-and-run driver in Arlington, according to the Arlington Police Department.

At around 8:42 a.m. on August 7, authorities responded to the 6300 block of W Interstate 20 Freeway near U.S. 287 to investigate a report of a pedestrian having been struck by a vehicle.

Authorities arrived at the location and determined that the woman was attempting to walk across Interstate 20 when she was hit by a vehicle whose driver fled the scene.

The woman was struck by several other vehicles that stopped at the scene.

The woman was declared dead at the scene. Her name has not been released pending notification of family.

Police are searching for the hit-and-run motorist.
