Jennifer Kay Erwin, Sherry Lynn Hall Killed in Car Accident on U.S. 79 in Longview

Jennifer Kay Erwin and Sherry Lynn Hall ID’d as Waskom Women Killed in Longview Crash on U.S. 79

Longview, Texas (June 17, 2019) – Authorities have identified the two Waskom women who were killed Friday afternoon in a traffic accident in Longview.

Jennifer Kay Erwin, 45, and Sherry Lynn Hall, 61, both died in the wreck that occurred on U.S. 79 Friday, June 14.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a car occupied by the women, was turning left onto U.S. 79 from a private drive when it failed to yield to two vehicles traveling in the eastbound lane.  The car was then hit by a truck in the outside lane.

Erwin and Hall were pronounced dead at the scene. William Tyler Spears, 27, of Carthage, who was the truck driver was transported to LSU Health in Shreveport in stable condition.

The crash remains under investigation.
