Josefa Ortiz Silva and 64-Year-Old Man Injured in Northeast El Paso Two-Vehicle Crash on McCombs

El Paso, Texas (May 12, 2020) – One person was killed, and two others were injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in northeast El Paso, according to the police.

The fatal crash happened around 2:00 p.m. May 11, in the 12000 block of McCombs.

Police said Michael Aceto, 37, was driving a 1998 Saturn southbound on McCombs when he veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on into a 2000 Chrysler Voyager driven by Josefa Ortiz Silva, 54.

Aceto was pronounced dead at the scene. 

Silva and her 64-year-old male passenger were taken to University Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.

The El Paso Police department’s Special Traffic Investigations Unit is investigating the crash.
