Joseph Davis Killed in Midland County Semi-Truck Crash at FM 1379 and County Road 160
Midland County, Texas (January 17, 2020) – One person was killed, and four others were injured Thursday afternoon in a semi-truck crash in Midland County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The crash was reported around 4:30 p.m. on January 16, at the intersection of FM 1379 and County Road 160.
Troopers said Joseph Davis, 55, of Florida, was driving a semi-truck when he disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another semi-truck.
Davis was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the other semi-truck and his three passengers were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital for treatment. Three of the victims had incapacitating injuries.
The authorities are investigating the crash.
