Laquetta Booe Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on FM 1092 near Missouri City in Fort Bend County
Laquetta Booe ID’d as Woman Killed in Fort Bend County Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on FM 1092
Fort Bend County, Texas (January 19, 2020) – The woman who was killed Friday night in a hit-and-run crash in Fort Bend County near Missouri City has been identified as Laquetta Booe, 81, according to the authorities.
The accident was reported around 6:00 p.m. on January 17, on FM 1092 near Avenue E.
Authorities said Booe was crossing the street, outside of a crosswalk, when she was hit by a vehicle driven by Marlon Alexander Zavala.
Zavala pulled into a parking lot after the accident but then left the scene before authorities arrived.
Booe was declared dead at the scene.
Zavala’s vehicle was later located, and he was arrested. He has been charged with failure to stop and render aid, which is a second-degree felony. His bond was set at $10,000, and an ICE hold has been placed on him.
The crash remains under investigation.
