Larry Cooper Killed, Two Injured in Campbell Two-Vehicle Crash on State Highway 24 

Campbell, Texas (November 28, 2019) – A person was killed, and two others were injured in a head-on crash Tuesday night in Campbell, according to the DPS.

The fatal crash happened at about 7:20 p.m. November 26, on State Highway 24, on the overpass across Interstate 30 near the 101-mile marker.

DPS said Larry Cooper, 24, of Union, Kentucky, was driving a Mazda 3 southbound while a Dodge 2500 pickup was heading northbound.

For an unknown reason, Cooper veered into the northbound lanes and crashed head-on into the Dodge.

Cooper was pronounced dead at the scene.

A female occupant of the Mazda and the driver of the Dodge were airlifted to Medical City Plano with non-life threatening injuries.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
