Latreaser Cartwright Injured in Center Crash with School Bus on San Augustine Street

Center, Texas (August 17, 2019) – A woman was injured in a crash involving a Center ISD School bus on Wednesday afternoon in Center, according to the authorities.

The crash occurred at around 4:02 p.m. Friday, August 16, on San Augustine Street at Hurst Street.

Police said 54-year-old Latreaser Cartwright of Center was driving a black Chevrolet Colorado pickup eastbound on San Augustine Street when she lost control for unknown reasons. The Chevrolet hydroplaned and collided with a school bus, driven westbound by 74-year-old Linda Douda.

Cartwright was taken by ambulance to Nacogdoches Medical Center’s -Shelby Emergency Department for treatment.

An 11-year-old boy riding on the school bus was also transported to the hospital as a precaution.

The crash is under investigation.
