Marie Borne ID’d as Woman Killed in Alvin Two-Vehicle Crash on FM 1462

Alvin, Texas (December 6, 2019) – The woman who was killed last month in a two-vehicle crash in Alvin has been identified as Marie Borne, 61, of Alvin, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

The deadly crash took place around 10:40 p.m. November 25, on FM 1462.

DPS said Borne was driving a Toyota Corolla eastbound while Simon Galvan,40, of Houston was backing a 1996 Peterbilt Truck Tractor with a trailer into a private driveway.

Borne failed to control speed and hit the rear of the trailer. She was taken to Clear Lake Regional Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

An investigation is ongoing.
