Man Killed in Hit-and-Run on Long Point Drive in Spring Branch

Spring Branch, Texas – A man was killed Tuesday evening in a hit-and-run accident in the Spring Branch area, according to the police.

The deadly accident happened just before 8:00 p.m., March 26, in the 7400 block of Long Point Drive near Antoine Drive.

Police said the man was trying to cross the street when a truck sped down the street and hit him.

The man was thrown about 100 feet and was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not been released.

The driver fled the scene after the accident. The vehicle was described as a newer-model, black Chevy Silverado that should have front-end damage. It’s believed the truck is newer than a 2019.

The police are investigating the crash. Anyone who knows anything about what happened or has seen a truck matching the description is asked to call the HPD Vehicular Crimes Division at 713-247-4072.
