Man Killed in Humble Pedestrian Accident on FM 1960 near Deerbrook Park Boulevard

Humble, Texas (March 16, 2020) – A man pushing a bicycle was killed Sunday night in a hit-and-run accident near Humble, police said.

The fatal crash took place around 10:00 p.m. March 15, in the 8900 block of West FM 1960 near Deerbrook Park Boulevard.

Police said the man was pushing a bicycle when he was hit by a speeding Chevrolet truck. The Chevrolet dragged the man underneath it.

At least one other car also hit the man.

The man was killed in the crash. His name has not been released.

The driver of the Chevrolet fled the scene. He was later found in the bathroom of a gas station about a mile west of the crash scene. He was arrested on charges of failure to stop and render aid, causing death and DWI with a child, both felony-level offenses. He could also be charged with felony murder.

The authorities are investigating the crash.
