Quondaila Christine Bellard, Elyssa Arlene Bellard Killed in Car Accident on Interstate 20 in Smith County

Quondaila Christine Bellard and Elyssa Arlene Bellard ID’d as Two Victims Killed in Smith County Crash on Interstate 20 near Winona

Smith County, Texas (July 31, 2019) – Authorities have identified the two people who were killed Sunday evening in a three-vehicle crash in Smith County.

Quondaila Christine Bellard, 40, of Nacogdoches, and  Elyssa Arlene Bellard, 18, of Nacogdoches, died in the accident that happened at around 7:10 p.m. Sunday, July 28 on Interstate 20, approximately seven miles east of Winona.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Ross Tyler Campbell, 21, of Olla, Louisiana, was driving a 2014 Ford F-150 eastbound on Interstate 20 when he failed to notice traffic slowing ahead and collided with a 2019 Chevrolet TRAX operated by Dale John Bellard Jr., 44, of Nacogdoches, who was traveling with family.

The Chevrolet then hit a 2013 Audi 6PL driven by Donald Edward Tiller, 51, of Fort Worth.

Quondaila Bellard, who was a passenger in the Chevrolet, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second passenger in the Chevrolet, Elyssa Bellard, was transported to a hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Bellard Jr. was also taken to a hospital in unknown condition. Cambell and Tiller were uninjured in the crash.

According to reports, Elyssa Bellard was a 2019 graduate of Nacogdoches High School.

The DPS is investigating the accident.
